Jose mentioned wanting a project car to his mother-in-law in 2021. She offered him her late husband’s 1972 Ford instead. His father-in-law had bought it in the 1980s and died in 1999. The truck had stayed in the family, stored away.

Bringing it back to her house became the moment Jose wanted to share. Seeing it arrive and hearing it run again brought tears of joy. Her husband had wanted to restore it but never had the chance. More than 20 years later, Jose had carried that work forward.

The work and the years behind it
Wheels and tires, wiring, a front lift and a stereo were among his changes. The next plan was simple: drive it and, if possible, take it to truck shows.
