The timeline and plans reflect the owner’s original account.
William wanted a 1976 or 1977 F-250 SuperCab long bed. The dream helped keep him working through difficult periods. In 2023, he found Carla, his 1976 Ford.
He reported 56,000 miles, with an odometer that had not rolled over, and described a truck previously owned by the same family. Its history included time as a speedway truck. Two rust spots and otherwise largely original condition appealed to him. Better batteries were his only upgrade at the time. Tires, a modest lift and small details, including horns, were plans for the look he wanted.
