Miguel worked in Alaska and skipped his graduation and 18th birthday celebrations to earn the cash for this 1979 F-150. He bought it at 18, finding a truck that had spent 15 years stored in Sweet Home, Oregon.

A couple had used it for travel. After the husband died, his wife and his brother sold it. Six months into ownership, when Miguel shared his account, new wheels, a steering stabilizer, carpet and subwoofers were part of his work. A full restoration was still ahead, and he did not intend to sell it. He also made clear that a 1979 is not a factory Highboy; the available social username was the reason for @79highboy.
