Matt bought his 1977 Ford for $800 in 1993. He drove it to high school at 16, and he still owns it more than three decades later.

The story
The truck has changed a lot since those school days. Matt says it was full-time four-wheel drive when he bought it. Since then, it has worn three different cabs and two different beds.
That is a long relationship with one old Ford, even if plenty of its parts have come and gone.

The truck
The current setup includes a Dana 60 front axle, a Dana 70 rear axle and a big-block engine. Matt’s photos show how far the truck has moved from its $800 starting point.
What comes next
His next goal is to make it a head-turner. After 33 years of ownership, he is still building the Ford he wants.
