Shared by @leandromachado91. The timeline and plans reflect the owner’s original account.
Leandro had grown up around these Brazilian Fords in the 1980s. Owning his 1967 from 2019 brought those childhood memories back. He described it as a Brazilian Bronco or BumpBronco, and reported that only 100 had been made and six remained on the road. Those numbers are his account, not independently verified production figures.

It also carries a difficult personal history. The previous owner had lost a 15-year-old daughter. Leandro’s birth mother, who had experienced mental illness, died on Christmas 2019 after being struck by a fast-moving car while crossing a highway. He shared those losses as part of what made the truck meaningful.

The work and the years behind it
His plan was a red, factory-style restoration with Ranger XLT details, selected parts from other Fords and a turbocharged, intercooled version of the factory MWM diesel. He wanted to take it to Australia, where he lived with his wife, and enjoy car shows. His other Fords included a pristine 1969 Brazilian SR/BumpBronco and an Australian 1979 F-100. The exact build plans and those trucks’ details remain in his account below.
