Jasper bought the big red F-250 he wanted in 2018 and brought it from Colorado to New Zealand. The description he bought it on was reassuring. The truck that arrived was not.

The story
Jasper says the engine would not run and there was rust everywhere. Instead of the trouble-free truck he expected, he had a major project.
Two years of work followed. He describes it as blood, sweat and tears. His submitted photographs show both the truck on a trailer during the project and the finished red Ford.

The truck
The ’78 now has a new engine, 38.5-inch tires on 18-inch wheels, a three-bar roll bar, KC Daylighters and a CB radio.

What comes next
Jasper has not settled on the next changes. For now, the result of those two years is the big red truck he originally went looking for.
