Gabe wanted an unrestored, rust-free 1976 F-250 4x4. In 2017, he bought one over the phone from Somerset, California. He was nervous about its condition, but the seller proved honest. The Ford was shipped more than 3,000 miles to his home.

He and his kids were excited as the transporter backed into the driveway. Later, their first ride became the memory he chose to share. A frame-off restoration brought a new interior, a 390 replacing the 360, a lift, exhaust, brakes, steering, wiring and audio work.

The work and the years behind it
Six years into ownership when he shared the account, the result was more beautiful than he had imagined. His plan was to keep it and enjoy nice-day drives with his wife and kids.

Build details, in the owner’s words
This truck was a frame off restoration with all new interior. replaced the original 360 with a 390 motor, and a mild cam. I added a 4inch skyjacker suspension lift, with Mickey Thompson tires and rims . This truck has new 3 inch Flowmaster exhaust which has given it a great sound! I replaced all the Brake lines with new stainless steel lines . The steering has been upgraded to electric power steering which makes it even more enjoyable to drive . We installed a new custom radio and all new pioneer speakers which sounds really good! This truck has all brand new wiring from front to back . To many new parts to mention .

More from the owner
This truck was purchased from Somerset California back in 2017. I had purchased this over the phone , and was extremely nervous about the actual condition of the truck . However the guy who sold me the truck was very honest . I then had it shipped over 3,000 miles . I remember the excitement my kids and I had as the shipper was backing into my driveway with my truck . I was looking for this particular truck that had minimal rust and wanted to restore it and make it my own. After having this truck restored it turned out to be more beautiful then I ever imagined .
