Body By Highboy: What year are your trucks?
David (@Highboy_life): Both are 1976 Highboys.
Body By Highboy: How long have you had them?
David: Going on 20 years now.
Body By Highboy: What were you looking for when you bought them?
David: Highboys like the ones my dad had. I grew up around these trucks and always loved them.
Body By Highboy: Every truck’s got a story — what’s one that stands out most?
David: One winter, I had a whole cord of wood delivered before a big storm. The only truck I had was my Highboy. I had to hand load all of it, all alone. That truck got it done.
Body By Highboy: What kind of upgrades have you made?
David: Big lifts, big tires, built 390 FE motors in both, high steer setups, new suspension — they’re sitting almost 20 inches of lift.
Body By Highboy: What’s the plan moving forward?
David: Just finishing the small things and enjoying them again.
Body By Highboy: Anything else you’d like to share?
David: I grew up in a family salvage yard — trucks were always around. We’ve been Ford people forever, from the ’50s on up, but especially the ’60s and ’70s pickups, tow trucks, and vans.
