Colt had loved Highboys since he was 13. He did not expect to choose a red one, but knew this was the truck when he found it. He bought the 1976 in January 2017 and drove it daily to school and work through 2019.

Those early miles carried nights out, weather, first experiences and connections in the truck community. A Blueprint 390 FE and a new Dana 60 rear axle were among the work he had completed. He would not trade those memories. A Four Wheel Camper, a turbocharged EFI 300, custom suspension and Candy Apple Red paint were ideas for a later chapter.

How the truck came home
I fell in love with “Highboys” from an enthusiast standpoint at the age of 13. I wasn’t looking for a red truck but when I saw this one I knew it was the one.
The memories behind the truck
I daily drove this truck from 2017 to 2019. To school, work, nights out on the town, rain or shine. I’ve had plenty of firsts with this truck and it’ll be apart of me forever. I’ve met an incredible amount of great people through this truck and I wouldn’t trade that for anything!
Build details, in the owner’s words
The truck is sporting a blueprinted 390fe, brand new D60 rear, and a lot of small upgrades
Plans at the time of the story
The truck will eventually get a four-wheel-camper, turbocharged and fuel injected ford 300, custom suspension, and a new CandyApple Red paint job.
